The Federal Bureau of Labor & Statistics published their new stats on employee benefits, which provides the ability to compare corporate employee benefit levels with government employee benefits.

I will post an analysis here a little later this week, but it clearly shows that government employees have a much higher percent of employee benefit costs paid by their government employee than private firms do for their employees. It also shows that most government employees get close to 100% of the benefits paid vs maybe 70-80% by private employees.
The next thing for us to do is get the actual figures for the Lake County School District and the Lake County government employees and compare their benefits and contribution levels to the above national statistics.
