Commissioners solicit suggestions from community on growing businesses in Lake County
TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is seeking input from the community on ways to increase business growth in Lake County. The ideas submitted will be reviewed by Commissioners for consideration in future economic development strategies.
Ideas and suggestions can be submitted by logging on to the Lake County website at www.lakecountyfl.gov/businessideas, and either downloading the form to submit via U.S. mail, fax, hand-delivery or e-mail; or by filling out the available Web form. The deadline for submissions is January 15.
“I don’t believe that it is government’s role to create jobs, but rather to develop an environment to help businesses create jobs,” said Commissioner Leslie Campione. “We’re hoping that the ideas submitted can be reviewed and discussed in a workshop setting to identify ways to enhance Lake County’s economic development initiatives.”
The form gives you the option to include your name, e-mail, phone, whether you are a current business owner and if so, what type of business you own in Lake County. There is no requirement to complete this information if you wish to remain anonymous. The online form allows you to upload up to four supporting documents (Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word or Excel, or images [.jpg, .bmp, .tif, .gif, .png]).
Paper forms can be submitted along with any back-up documentation by U.S. mail to P.O. Box 7800, Attn: County Commission Office, Tavares, FL 32778-7800 or in person to the County Commission Office located in the Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Suite 335, Tavares, FL 32778.
