Gee, why would a government agency board NOT WANT an outside, independent watchdog group to look at their internal operations?
But, Palm Beach County has a new Inspector General with authority over the County operations and local cities, but not the School District.
So, the School District is now creating their OWN Inspector General and PROMOTING their existing internal auditor into the position.
This editorial supports the idea of the County Inspector General having oversight of the School District, and we think it is a good idea.
What do you think?
