This was written by the Orlando Sentinel's Steve Hudak who used to cover
Lake County. He is a good reporter.
Hudack has uncovered some added facts I didn't know.
I found the article on the Orlando Sentinel website featuring a picture of
Jennifer Sullivan, and it will probably be in the Sunday print edition.

Here is a syndicated version of the article, which I found first. Notice it
appeared on an Insurance Industry website.

-in-florida-house-a-529415.htmlYou may have known this about B. Grassell, but I didn't. This means B. was
a registered Democrat for TEN years.
Belita "B" Grassel, 66, describes herself as a moderate
conservative.
Grassel switched from Republican to Democrat in 2002 to vote
in the primary for gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride, a Democrat who grew
up in Leesburg. She switched back to the GOP in January 2012, according to
voter-registration records.
Hudak also tells us something new (to me) about Joseph Stephens. No one can
figure why he even bothers running. He has spent money on petition forms,
etc but not filed ONE expense for his campaign.
"The Army veteran has filed for personal bankruptcy twice,
most recently in December. " according to Hudak.
Hudak is a good reporter, but he must not have received all the information
about candidate Jennifer Sullivan, and her extensive experience over several
years of being an instructor in a program to teach teenagers about FL State
Government. She had many visits to Tallahassee working with legislators
and the teens on policy issues and probably has as much experience working
in Tallahassee on political issues as B. Grassell and Terri Seefeldt.
Experience doing that is important, and the Orlando Sentinel left that
completely out, focusing on her earlier high school activities. Hudak also
described the total contributions received by the other candidates, but
avoided any mention that Sullivan has collected MORE than two of the other
candidates. The Sentinel is a liberal paper and will downplay any true
conservative, and I expect them to come out in favor of B. Grassel who was
president of the Lake County Teachers Union (LCEA).
Hudak also didn't really analyze the contributors of all the candidates, and
how many of them are from outside the District, or represent large industry
interests like health, insurance or trial attorneys.
If you care about this race, I encourage you to post online comments at the
above linked article on the Orlando Sentinel (in the "Local News" section).
(I just did).
