Lake Countians (FL): Republican Margie Eaton has filed papers to run again for Lake County Supervisor of Elections against 50+ year incumbent Emogene Stegall. Margie ran against Democrat Stegal in 2012 and barely lost. After 50 years, we need fresh blood who will track and act on ensuring only valid voters vote. I just saw Margie tonight and she is just ramping up so a new website, fund raisers, etc are coming. The primaries are in mid-2016, but she is starting early to get petitions signed to qualify for the race without paying fees. She was the ONE candidate (from all races) fully endorsed by the Lake County Republicans in 2012. Eaton works as a judicial assistant for a Judge in Orange County and has a mind like a steel trap – expect much more discussion about all the methods that can be used to prevent voter fraud and that are not practiced in Lake County.
