We have written about the liberal bias and revisionism in the AP US History (APUSH) classes designed by the College Board and offered here in Lake County, FL and other schools nationwide. One of our articles about the recently revised APUSH curriculum is HERE.
A Georgia Senator has filed a state bill SR 80 that “asks the College Board to de-politicize its new Advanced Placement U.S. History (APUSH) course and urges competition to the College Board’s monopoly. Despite headlines that the “sky is falling,” SR 80 does not ban AP courses or testing.”
Lake County School District’s Administration recently bragged about high AP course scores among students, which is gratifying to local parents, but why won’t the administration OUT or skip some of the newly revised courses from the liberal controlled College Board that designs them?
The entire five member Lake County School Board are all registered as Republicans, so you would think they would be concerned about WHAT students were taught.
Bonus example of APUSH’s liberal bias: The attachment below is the undated APUSH class outline (for the prior APUSH curriculum, not the new one) from one Lake County, FL teacher who requires students to buy and read a highly liberal “US History” book ( Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States” ) that was critically analyzed as anti-American in the recent patriotic film “America: Imagine the World Without Her” by Dinesh D’Souza. The teacher even violates copyright law by providing a link to a website with a bootleg scanned copy of the entire book so students don’t have to actually buy it.

Perhaps Florida’s Senator Alan Hays or FL Rep. Marlene O’Toole will read this and get ideas for next year’s legislative session.
