Update on last night's meeting with Eustis Commission and Lake County School Board to discuss how to improve Eustis Elementary Schools

This is an update on the City of Eustis Commissioners meeting last night
with Lake County School Board to discuss how to improve Eustis elementary
schools.

Mayor Al Eckian ran a tight ship and listened to brainstormed issues and
resolutions from Principals, School Board and the public. He made a LIST to
follow up and I expect they will move forward. This was not a "THUD"
meeting which happens at the School Board, where they talk and then an issue
drops "THUD" to the floor.

School Board members Stephanie Luke (Eustis is in her district) and Chair
Debbie Stivender were not there. Thus Board members Bill Mathias, Rosanne
Brandeburg and Marc Dodd were there with several LCSD staff (who didn't get
to say much) and Supt. Dr. Moxley. Mayor Eckian is lighting a fire on
several issues, so expect this to happen. Kudos to Rosanne Brandeburg for
stepping up to share the Leesburg results and methods with Eustis.
