A group of 62 US City Mayors, including four from Florida, sent a letter to Congress in the name of the US Conference of Mayors, led by that wacky Mayor in Baltimore that said let it burn. Their leader is Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a Democrat.
The signed letter to Congress asked them not to restrict planned immigration of thousands of unvetter Syrian Muslims into the US. This is after the Director of the FBI has told Congress he cannot vet them.
Based on this letter and who leads the group, I would suspect that this "Conference of Mayors" is a private liberal lobbying front group like the two groups that initiated and own the rights to Common Core.
On the other hand, their press release says they have 1400 member city non-partisan Mayor members, so if only 62 signed this letter, it tells you not all are liberals. If only 62 members signed the letter on the Conference of Mayors letterhead, I might wonder whether the rest of the members voted or authorized the use of the letterhead.
Here are the four Florida Mayors supporting immigration of unvetted Syrians.
