Lake Sentinel Columnist Lauren Ritchie picks on County Commissioner Tim Sullivan

Lake County, FL Political News: Columnist Lauren Ritchie from the Lake Sentinel is picking on incumbent Lake County, FL Commissioner, Tim Sullivan, about his living in Jimmy Conner's district but renting an empty apartment in the District he represents as a "residence".

 

I like Tim, so thanks to the Tim Sullivan interpretation of an official allowed to just rent, but not move to the district he represents as an elected official, and the actions of Bill Brett, Eustis City Councilman of moving to a new home outside Eustis City limits, but claiming he still represents his Eustis district,  I am seeking big bucks supporters to fund a possible campaign against Welton Cadwell for his Lake County District in Umatilla.  But, like Sullivan and Brett, I don't plan to live in the District I would represent.

 

Although I live in another District in Tavares, I plan to rent a birdhouse in Umatilla as my residence so I can qualify to run against Cadwell. 

 

Matter of fact, I have a birdhouse in my backyard in unincorporated (County) Tavares, so any candidate who wishes to rent space to run in Tavares districts, there is room in the birdhouse for SIXTEEN tenants.

 

Rent is cheap - only five sacks of sunflower seeds to feed the other tenants. Let me know!

Here is the 16 unit birdhouse for elected officials who don't live in this Tavares District. 8 of the units have a good view of the canal and it is connected to Lake Dora.
