Tavares, FL August 15, 2016
Lake Countians: Tonight, Aug. 15, in Eustis, Tuesday (16th) in Clermont & Thursday ( 18th - Leesburg) nights are the public hearings to get YOUR input on the qualities needed for the new Lake County School District Superintendent to be selected for 2017.
The hearings are run by the 19 member independent Committee chaired by Curt Binney and appointed by the Board. They will collect candidate criteria and attributes and give them to the headhunter and the School Board for use in finding and selecting candidates for interviews.
You can also fill out an online survey, but it is missing topics like "needs ability to MANAGE a budgeted $500-million, 5,000 employee organization". So attend one of the regional meetings and give your input.
Can you say "I want a skilled MANAGER this time, not a an administrator who doesn't understand management metrics...".
See the meeting details and survey link in this School District press release. I will video the meeting tonight and tomorrow and will upload it to my "FiscalRangersFlorida" YouTube channel.
