A new "Center for Union Facts" website, https://www.publicunionfacts.com, contains a database listing political contributions for thousands of unions in the US.
HERE is a Watchdog.com article about it.
In a nutshell, the Lake County, FL School Teachers' Union, LCEA, gave 88.9% of their partisan contributions to Democrats, and the parent union of the SEIU non-instructional employee union at the School District gave 99.2% of their partisan contributions to Democrats.
It makes you wonder why Republican parents would send their kids to those schools and not alternatives. That is one reason why the State is pushing for alternative school programs.
Where did the Lake County FL Education Association (LCEA) teachers' union send their political contributions?
We found that the Lake County Education Association (LCEA), the union for teachers in the Lake County, FL School District, from 2000-2014, gave $22,750 to Florida State political candidates over the years, with the most being in 2012. There were no Federal contributions listed, but we were told once that they funnel some dues to the Florida Education Association (union) which supported Gillum in the recent State Governor elections in 2018, and also to the National Education Association (NEA).
The LCEA clearly was biased, contributing 88.9% to Democrats and the remainder to Republicans. The LCEA did not give contributions to several other categories of spending.

You can also see the list of all candidates receiving funds from LCEA over the years, with Democrat Linda Stewart receiving them most, $1500. You can click on the candidate name link and see all their sources of contributions.'
Where did the Service Workers International Union (SEIU) for non-instructional employees of the Lake County, FL School District send their political contributions?
Their website is: http://seiufpsu.org/about/ .
They are not a stand alone union, but according to their website and union contract, are consolidated into a much larger "SEIU Florida Public Services Union represents 19,000 workers in eight counties, 16 cities, three Head Start agencies and four school districts across Florida."
However, they use names that don't match names in the database for SEIU units, so I had to just select the national SEIU HERE, which gave 99.2% of their partisan contributions (only Republican or Democrat) Federal and State contributions to Democrats.
Make you wonder why parents in this heavily Republican County in Florida would send their kids to schools dominated by Democrats.
This is also a reason why the Republican Florida legislature keeps approving alternative education funding like vouchers, private schools, etc. Remember, the unions supported Gillum.
More analysis later.
