If you have followed the historic Wandry Mansion issue in Eustis, FL, where the owner wanted to get approval to remove the historic designation so he could demolish it, then you might be happy to know the City Council refused to allow the designation, thus the home will not be demolished.
So you can see my 100+ pictures from a 2016 tour, and find links to the latest May 3, 2019 stories on the issue in my Facebook album here:

***My original 2016 article with the picture album at the above link:***
The owners of this historic mansion built on a 5 acre lot by a German Immigrant entirely of concrete and stone between 1907 & 1927 had an open house because it is up for sale in Eustis, FL.
Here is a Lauren Ritchie article about the 3 level mansion. I did not retouch these photos, but you can clearly see it needs work. There are no interior stairs, so you access the upper level from the back outside staircase and the basement from an outside descending set of steps. The dumb waiter only connects from the basement to the ground level. People were walking all over the upper level trying to find where it came up, but it doesn't.

The latest owner tried to remove the historic designation so he could demolish it for a housing development. The Eustis Historic Preservation Board voted to DENY the request, and the Eustis City Council agreed. So, the owner will have to sell it as is. Here are two recent articles:
