A national Muslim group is preparing to demand that Schools allow Muslim students to take some Fridays off for prayers.
The Lake County, FL School Board and administration should be prepared to turn down Muslim demands for special accommodations like this based on religion. Muslims are constantly demanding "special accommodations" by "submitting" to their demands.
The Muslims are gearing up for a national program to demand that Muslim students get part of Fridays off for prayers when there actually is NO REAL reason to do so as explained by Cheri Berens who writes on Islam excesses.

I recommend the Board and administration prepare for future Islam demands of educators by getting Cheri Beren's book ( An American Woman Living in Egypt: Life during an Islamic takeover ) which examines the true background of Islam and their demands and the myths they cite to gain advantages. You need to prepare to stand up to them. She is an American researcher who lived in Egypt for many years and was there during the Arab Spring and takeover of Egypt by Islam.
Here is an NPR article about a Texas School that caved to demands to create prayer rooms which disrupt student schedules and use up scarce classroom space. However, a Judge then told them the room had to be open to any religion for prayers. https://www.npr.org/2017/03/26/521567078/concerns-after-texas-school-opens-prayer-room-that-s-attracting-muslim-students
And, for better background on the dangers of Islam and the need to stand up to them, read my factsheet HERE.
Be prepared with legal and researched facts (i.e. from Berens and others) when a Muslim student takes umbrage at some perceived insult or demands some special accommodations (i.e. Halal food, prayer rooms, etc. ) and be ready to stand up to political correctness on behalf of the 97% of the public who are not Muslim. They may cite such accommodations are required for their religion when they actually are not.
The Board should instruct the School District attorney to research cases of such demands and be ready to stand up to them with well-researched defenses and pre-existing policies, not cave to them. Do not "submit" to their demands, which is a POLITICAL tactic to show their superiority over non-believers.
