Lake County, FL K-12 Parents! Learn how the school district staff plan to implement distance learning for 42,000 students

Parents of Lake County, FL School District K-12 Students!

On Monday, Mar. 23, 2020, the Lake County School Board met and saw a presentation on how they are rolling out distance learning with Chromebooks to 42,000 students.

Very impressive. The staff hired by Supt. Diane Kornegay is top notch to be able to do this in just a couple of weeks. Kudos to Dr. Emily Weiskopf, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning and Leadership, and Duane Weeks, Director of Instructional Technology and Data Systems, plus Dr. Creed Wheeler, head of IT.

Since they conducted the March 23, 2020 Board meeting with remote users, the video was glitchy and in three parts. Ignore the 1 minute video, start with the 20 min one, then the longer one.
