Advocates for the FL ballot item Amendment 4 (abortion - supported by Democrats) got the ballot item certified earlier this year to be on the Nov. ballot.
But now Gov. Ron DeSantis's Election Crimes group is asking several SOEs for copies of petitions signed by voters to support the Amendment 4 being on the ballot.
It seems they think that some petitions provided by the Amendment advocates may be fake, and since the advocates had to have a specific number of signed petitions to qualify for the ballot, if they find enough fake petition signatures, the issue is off the ballot.

It is funny that local and other election integrity investigators found just this same problem with ballots filed for elections, and that was ignored, but here, DeSantis is pushing for an investigation.
