This reference page is my personal opinion on how to document resources to find alternative ways to reduce diabetes, reduce weight, improve health, and maybe longevity. By Vance Jochim at FiscalRangers.com.
It is based on my experience when I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 when I was 77. Now I am 80 (December 30, 2024).
When Covid hit in early 2020, I knew about it early because I watched a YouTube channel "The China Show" by two guys who lived in China for 12-14 years, married Chinese wives, and one, Winston Sturgill, was teaching English to Chinese Doctors and had connections all over China. He described the Wuhan outbreak and discussed it on his first in China vlog on YouTube, and that it was a virus and his connections said to improve your immunity to resist it. He also covered how China allowed infected people to travel all over the world and spread Covid. He now lives in the US, and still provides the shows with inside China news on the China economy crashing, electric vehicle fires, sinkholes and many news items not covered by the main China news outlets or the US news outlets. He always has sources, like videos posted by victims, or Chinese language social media comments he translates to English. The picture is French Bio-chemist Jesse Inchauspe, one of the YouTube channels I recommend below.
Anyway, during the US Covid lockdowns, I would sit in front of my house and watch various YouTube videos about Covid, Diabetes, weight reduction, and improving health and learned what I share here:
I focused on building my immunity with various supplements without any vaccines, and never got even a cold.
I found out most medical doctors, like mine, never have classes in nutrition and don't have knowledge about it, so they mostly prescribe heavily marketed medications to solve medical issues. I had to really push my health insurance firm to authorize a visit to a real nutritionist, but she only prescribed what the food industry wanted me to hear.
I found out about alternative cures for Covid, including Ivermectin and HydroxyChloriquin but my doctor, following NIH rules, refused to prescribe it. My pharmacy also said they were forbidden to provide those treatments even with a prescription.
But, I never took the vaccine, greatly improved my immunity and never even got a cold since 2020.
Also, since Diabetic patients were said to be more at risk for getting Covid, I also researched that issue leading to a need to move to more healthy eating (Don't use the food pyramid designed by food companies), walking 6000 steps per day and practicing keto diets and intermittent fasting. So, now at 80, I am still writing and healthy.
So here are the YouTube videos I recommend for you to improve your health, reverse diseases like diabetes, cancer, and stop taking doctor prescribed medications that have side effects. It is my opinion Doctors are heavily promoted to use costly medicines as a treatment to "manage" the ailment, but not cure it, rather than alternative actions like the keto diet and intermittent fasting. It is my belief that MANY health issues are caused by the food industry and following keto and intermittent fasting will reverse the symptoms. If you watch Robert F. Kennedy discuss bad foods, bad medicine, etc. we talk the same language.
Below are the top YouTube channels I recommend. Once you start following some of this list, YouTube will "suggest" others, thus you can drill down further to find who you like to watch.
DrJasonFung - https://www.youtube.com/@DrJasonFung - he was the first I followed and got his book. Read his books Obesity Code, Diabetes Code and Cancer Code to reverse your symptoms. He has a clinic with patients and has collected much evidence to support his suggestions.
DoctorBoz - https://www.youtube.com/@DoctorBoz now lives in Tampa and she used keto and intermittent fasting to reverse her mother's cancer. Dr. Boz has online weight loss courses, and she also tests recommendations on herself, including a Sardine only diet, then shares the results.
Dr.StenEkberg - many videos on helpful health advice - https://www.youtube.com/@drekberg
Dr.Erik Berg DC - Same as Ekberg above, but not related. - https://www.youtube.com/@Drberg
Dr. Becky Gillaspy - full of advice - https://www.youtube.com/@beckygillaspy
Dr. Mindy Pelz - focuses on health, weight loss, diet for women - https://www.youtube.com/@DrMindyPelz
Dr. John Campbell - general medical and COVID advice - @CampbellTeaching
Jesse Inchauspe (pictured above) at @GlucoseRevolution - https://www.youtube.com/@GlucoseRevolution She is a French biochemist with two books on Glucose that sold over 1-million copies and is a REALLY good marketer, so caveat emptor on some recommendations.
For China INSIDER news, watch the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@TheChinaShow .
Watch the above channels and learn about keto, intermittent fasting and building immunity. Some of the channels have a free course, then longer paid courses or communities.
This use of YouTube videos to research a medical issue, then watch related suggestions from YouTube, allows you to drill down to find real medical solutions in my opinion. Try it for any medical condition affecting you. And, I am now using AI like Chat-GPT to research other issues, and may soon start using it to also drill down to real solutions to medical problems.
So try watching a few of them. They have many recommendations so I usually would watch until I saw 3 or more providing the same advice to get a consensus justifying the recommendations. AND, some are not Medical Doctors, but Chiropractors who seem to gravitate to the alternative health practices. Also watch out for LARGE channels where they are run by body builders or religious leaders and every video is pitching a single, different medical study followed by a recommendation that you buy some supplement or product from them. They don't actually have technical medical backgrounds but are really good spokespeople.
And, no matter that most will advise use of Apple Cider Vinegar, it still tastes bad.
So, try the above, get off costly meds and maybe improve your health and lose weight.
