Florida Government Hotline - Report Waste Fraud & Abuse
In Lake County, neither the Lake County government or the Lake County School District has an independent, confidential hotline to report waste, fraud & abuse. The School District has one on their website to report problems related to students, etc. but not for financial issues.
So, you can contact us at FiscalRangers@comcast.net to report waste fraud & abuse.
Or, you can TRY to get someone from the Florida Office of the Chief Inspector General to review it. See the text below.
To report allegations of waste, fraud, abuse, misconduct or other misconduct abuses in state government, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Chief Inspector General.
You can contact us at (850) 922-4637 or submit your concerns in writing to: Office of the Chief Inspector General 2103 The Capitol Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0001 (800) 543-5353 toll-free (850) 921-0817 by facsimile
